Schröder, E. hunts around in the yard sale of daily existence, picking through our lives and finds amazing things. Looking at Germany through his eyes, that which we are used to calls our attention while the unusual loses its sheen. Because, Schröder imitates everybody´s viewpoint with one lens in creating his alleged snapshots-switching, however, the subject matter in the process. That which we fail to see, but rather live out day to day, he makes visible for the first time by removing the people. The places we go as spectators and experience seekers - tourist hotspots, shows, viewing platforms - are rendered by Schöder into counterparts to their postcard identities.
